Listing of Wi-Fi / Wireless Internet hotspots in Chengdu. Chengdu's Wi-fi hotspots are limited, but growing. In 2004 it was difficult to find any places with free Wi-Fi, even when some coffee houses and restaurants offered computers with free internet access for the customers. In 2006 the situation has improved a lot. Many popular restaurants and coffee houses offer free wireless for your laptop or mobile device. Some places even offer to borrow a wireless-card to use with your laptop for a deposit.
