Niu Niu Fu is a mixture of Chinese, Korean and Japanese barbeque. The specialty of this restaurants is that it is a do-it-yourself barbeque.  

This means that you get an open gas fire as in a hotpot restaurant, but this one has a grill instead of the pot. The grill is made so that it's very safe to use and basically smoke-free. The fact that you get to choose, oil, spice and grill your own meat or fish, makes eating at the restaurant a really nice experience. The surroundings are nice with lots of wooden materials used for a feeling of a modern mixture of something Asian. 

Only bad side of the place is that it's a bit expensive with at least 100 RMB for a dinner for 2 persons, but this is at the same level of other barbeque restaurants in Chengdu, such as the popular Brasilian BBQ. I recommend that you reserve at least 2 hours for eating, and if you purchase enough, you can get a free round or evening at the bowling hall in the same building.

Pros:

• Grill your own meat, as you want it.
• Good selection of dishes.
• Chinese, Japanese and Korean styles and spices.
• Nice surroundings and atmosphere.
• Good airconditioning, no smoke.
  

Cons:

• A bit expensive.

My opinion: 4/5 - Recommended
