In this news report by Reuters, claims that last week Sichuan Uni cut the power at midnight to prevent students from watching the soccer world cup. "As soon as the power blackout began at midnight, students started to shout and throw things out of their dormitories," said one student who witnessed the scene. "They were unhappy they could not watch the World Cup," said the student who requested anonymity. Update: Now it's reported that around 9000 students took part in this protest against the Uni cutting power, and even burned a couple of mopeds.
