Yesterday was clearly the hottest day of the year so far, at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon we had +35°C! This in a place without direct sunshine, so out in the city it must have been even higher. I talked about this with some local friends who predicted that this summer will be real hot weather, or to quote them: "People will die of the heat." 

Well last year was really nice and hot too and no one really died of it either, so relax and lets get back to chilling out under the nice cold air of the kongtiao...

The second version of Chengdu LIFE is coming along well. This time I'm not promising any date when this will be ready, but the main features are being implemented right now. As by changing the site to use Joomla as the CMS, I can finally make the site what it was supposed to be. Among the features that are in place or that will be, are:

• Event calendar

• BBS and Discussion
• Photo Gallery about Chengdu
• Directory of services, restaurants, markets, etc
• Information resources
• 
  

The main feature will be that everyone can take part in creating the site. So, I invite everyone to be a part of our community and submit whatever you think is important, be it news, upcoming events, new restaurants or clubs, or just some nice photos of Chengdu or Sichuan for everyone to share!
