One of the landmarks in Chengdu, the statue of Chairman Mao at the north end of Tianfu Square. The banner says “Warm congratulations for Chengdu for winning the title of ‘The best tourism city in China’”, a recent title awarded to Chengdu for it’s progress in 2006.
