Shan Zhen (山珍, lit. “mountain treasures”) is a type of non-spicy hotpot, with the main ingredient being mushrooms. One of my favorite delicacies in Chengdu, specially during cold winter days.
In some places they serve another kind of mountain treasure with the hotpot: Tibetan snow lotus tea, a traditional chinese medicine which grows only at the altitude of over 3800m.
